Surprised me! It's great! September 1, 2009 M. E. Marcklebees (Boston, MA) 60 out of 60 found this review helpful
I ordered this bike after a great deal of research and juggling with the idea of price...too high...too low...which bike is better and why? I spin at the gym and absolutely love the Keiser Spin bike there, but it's just too much money for my home budget, and I REALLY wanted to spin at home. This bike is sturdy, smooth, and delivers a strong ride. I was completely surprised! I was concerned about flywheel weight (this one has a 31 pound vs. the 42 pound average in the more expensive bikes), but I actually think that this is a bonus now. My hips used to hurt when I was spinning 3 and 4 times a week at the gym, and I think the lighter flywheel is better for me. When I bought this here at Amazon, I had it already in my mind, before taking it out of the box, that I would be prepared to return it, but it's terrific! It delivers the exact workout that I want, and it's built really well. I would suggest it to anyone looking for the spinning workout at home, and I believe that it's a good buy for its price range. The DVDs are awesome too; just like class! And you can't go wrong with a company like StarTrac, who manufactures this bike. Have fun and buy with confidence. It's a great choice. :-)
A lot of quality for a little cash February 10, 2010 Kate (Altoona, PA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I was no longer able to attend Spinning classes at my local gym, so I decided to take the plunge and purchase a bike to use at home. This bike is terrific quality -- I honestly can't tell a difference in the quality of the ride from a commercial model, and it's just as sturdy. If anyone is wondering if it's a good buy -- YES! This is one of the best exercise equipment purchases I have made over the past 20 years (compared to a treadmill, eliptical, x-c ski machine) and probably one of the least expensive. This is built to last, and to be used.

The bike was shipped right away. I was able to put it together within minutes and was using it right away. I have had spinning experience at a local fitness club and am comfortable saying that I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this bike. I am so glad I made this purchase. I have not used the DVDs that came with it yet as I have my own music I listen to. Truly the only "complaint" is that I cannot open the water bottle that came with this purchase.
Love my new bike May 22, 2010 D. J. Miller (Delta, CO) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Thanks to so many kind people who reviewed this bike and gave it a good review. I purchased the bike and just love it. It only has one flaw (which I was aware of because of the reviews)--the handle bars do wiggle a bit. I am going to try to put some foamrubber around the bar and see if that helps. Overall, an A+. I am training for a triathlon and am very please.
SPIN BIKE SPORT June 16, 2010 MB (Sewell, NJ USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love SPINNING products. This is definitely a beginners bike. I have been spinning for five years now and didn't realize I would notice a difference. However, there is a different feel to the ride. If you have shoes with clips this bike comes with the standard pedal. Which is completely different if you are used to the shoes with clips. I don't care for the dvds as it distracts my concentration. The spinning book that comes with the bike provides you with basics and you can come up with your own rides and music, which I prefer. The amount on the flywheel is enough unless you are a professional racer who is concerned with overcoming all the resistance, don't worry about getting the heaviest amount of weight on your flywheel. The bike takes up a small amount of space and is easily moved around because of the wheels on the front. The water bottle cage is cheap and bendable but holds the water bottle. It serves its purpose for now. The seat is big and wide compared to the smaller size I am used too. The difference is noticeable. Like I said this is a beginners bike. If you love spinning and want a bike customized to your spinning preferences, I suggest you buy a better model due to what I mentioned above. Soon I have to spend more money to buy a different seat, SPD pedals, maybe a new water bottle cage. Hope this helps so you find what you are looking for when making this purchase decision :)
