I don't know where to begin! My husband and I love this bike. It came needing only a few minutes to set up and is rock solid sturdy. We can each adjust the seat and the handlebars to the PERFECT position and the gel seat is super comfy. It's amazing how quiet it is and I like how the pedals are always balanced upright. The fancy computer that is sort of technical but we easily figured everything out once we read the owner's manual. He likes to push it to the high settings for like 20 minutes while I go for long distance rides. The design is cool and at first look you can see it is club quality. Definitly recommend for anyone!
Excellent German Technology! January 25, 2010 avidcyclist (Dayton, Ohio) I was eagerly awaiting for the arrival, but was a little apprehensive, as to how I will haul this stationary bike all the way into the basement. After unpacking in the garage, I easily wheeled it to the stairs and gradually brought it down, step by step, single handedly, into the basement.
The assembly was a piece of cake. It took less than 30 minutes before I was off to spinning. The exercise Programs are excellent, but require time to learn it. So far I have not been able to decipher, how to use interval training on it. The Computer has brightly lit, large display for Speed, time, heart rate, cadence, Watts, and is graphically displayed. All the data is apparently downoadable to a computer, but I have not found a cable to connect it to my laptop. It comes with a magnetic card (resembles a credit card), but I dont know how to use it.
The machine itself is flawless and there is absolutely no noise. All adjustments including height, seat position are very easy. Getting on and off the bicycle is very easy. The wheels can go forward and backward as in a real bicycle and in potential emergency, you can take off your feet from the pedals without a hitch.
Cons: 1. No space for water bottle. 2. User Manual in NOT user friendly particularly with regards to the computer. 3. Should have option for an actual TV/Video screen.
Manufactures of Kettler should improve the User manual and provide it online so one can use this fine machine to its maximum potential
Would have liked to like it, but ... September 2, 2007 Parent with let down Kids (Everywhere, USA) 0 out of 6 found this review helpful
The manual is so cryptic and poorly written that I'm not sure how to use this execise bike or even if it is working properly. I have a mechanics and science background in case you are wondering. This is a German made product and the multilingual manual is supposedly written for Great Britain users but is among the most poorly conceived operating manuals I have ever come across. I hope the German version is better! I guess if you are fluent in German you may have an easier time than I. I will try to contact the company to see if I can get some help. If not, I might have to return this item.
